Origins
What follows is the composition of many different sources. Individual accounts of strangely information filled dreams, research into the field of theoretically physics, exploration of different religious systems and historic lore.
Foundation
The following series of assertions are built upon certain foundation principles from physics and lore:
“M-theory”, eleven dimensional space mechanics with support for superstring interaction as well as quantum potential.
“P-branes”, membranes of dimensional space which interact only across certain dimensions rather than existing across all dimensions simultaneously. This is a component of M-theory.
Quantum Entanglement, the function of quantum mechanics which “binds” two or more objects together so that they are state linked (function similarly); essentially sharing properties whether or not they are spatially (physically or close proximity) connected.
Planes, areas of space-time which are thought to coexist alongside ours (much like P-branes) on a different level than our immediate being. In certain eastern philosophies, the world as we know it is referred to as the physical plane; while other planes are referred to as ‘subtle’ planes.
Fundamental Concept
In this system, it is asserted that subtle planes exist in the likeness of quantum state p-branes; and that interactions across this plane to other subtle planes are enabled by quantum entanglement. As observers, we are inclined to our resident plane; but this does not mean we are limited to it. Though technological and psychological advances, it is possible that we may be able to experience other planes. From afar, all planes exist at once and overlap each other; like in the double slit particle experiment, all potentialities coexist in the same space. Only by focusing the observer onto one stream of potential does the single conclusion seem to solidify. Theoretically, if you knew of multiple planar potential streams and could change your observation to another; you could exist in another plane.
What this means in layman’s terms:
Imagine that our perception is an old fashioned television, and that the universe is a series of channels within a set frequency. We are able to witness and interact with these different channels, but we are naturally dialed into only one of them. As we explore new channels, there is a manual shift. Both channels are received simultaneously, and there is a ghosting of images and sounds overlapping. Once the channel is changed fully, the picture is clear. If you could train this ability to dial in channels, you could hypothetically change channels at will.
Astral Defined – Part 1
Many belief systems and cultures throughout human history have alluded to a invisible or hidden force that exists within our universe that the talented or well disciplined are enabled to interact with. This energy has been referred to as many things such as chi, spirit, mana, life force and others; for the sake of this article I will refer to this energy as Astral and attempt to explain some of the properties it possesses.
Perhaps the easiest way to begin such explanations is to attempt set groundwork. In this groundwork, I will tie together some scientifically plausible theories and concepts into a basis of understanding for the rest of the system to be coherent.
The principles of the astral dynamics I am about to define rely on these fundamental concepts:
Ten/Eleven Dimensional space exists, as defined by M-Theory P-branes exist, as defined within M-Theory as being multiple dimensional sections of time-space that exist within the higher dimensional model. P-branes can interact with each other in the same way planes are thought to exist; which is to say that two membranes could share the same time area and probability branches yet seemingly independent spatial areas. Quantum Entanglement allows this time-probability linkage to occur across trans-brane spatial divides, thus allowing seemingly extra-dimensional interaction between two membranes without explicitly violating laws of physics. Because two membranes are at play, it is relatively safe to say that the spatial variables of these two membranes are not identical; not to the extent of different cosmological constants, but maintaining the probability that the defining properties of spatial significance such as matter may be different. With time-probability linkage across the membranes, the actions in either membrane would cause and effect on the other membrane; previously mentioned in Quantum Entanglement.
Simplified:
Planes, in the concept heaven or hell, exist in our universe and dimension; but in a separate physical space. Another concept which may be simpler to process is to imagine that the world as we know it vibrates within a given frequency range; and that planes exist within the same time and space but at a different frequency range. This can also be likened back to the television analogy.
Astral Defined – Part 2
For those following along eager to see metaphysics directly tied together with quantum physics in the first conclusive marriage of spirituality with science; I am afraid I cannot deliver. My resources and contacts are limited. This is the leap off point, as the following has no basis that I am aware of within the experiments and theories currently at work in the scientific community. What follows is the hearsay of dreamers, alchemists and visionaries.
Astral energy, as previously alluded to, is an extra-planar form of energy. Historically speaking, it has existed forever, since the very origin of our universe. Like radiation, it exists everywhere; throughout gasses, solids and liquids. Also like radiation, the material it interacts with is responsible for the amount of astral energy naturally retained.
Theoretically, the conservation of energy remains in effect. The amount of Astral that existed at the beginning of the universe is the same amount that exists now. The density of this energy, much like matter, gathers together into more functional forms as it comes together in a focal area. Unlike matter, which is victim to gravity, astral energy coalesces around instances of concentrated energy sources on our plane. In this aspect, both stars and the active cores of planets act as massive coalescent generators of astral energy; drawing stray astral energy in from space and other cosmic bodies to add to the density around the core.
The properties of Astral energy in its “loose” state are rather unremarkable; however, when the volume density of astral increases within a confined space, it displays the unusual ability to store temporal signatures of nearby energy releases in the physical plane. Heat, light, sound and kinetic energies can all leave some sort of imprint on “dense” state astral. These “recorded” energies play a significant role in how astral interacts with sentient life in the physical plane.
As discussed in the fundamental properties of Astral, astral energy is attracted to physical plane energy signatures. While this means that astral energy can be found in denser amounts around physical energy elements such as electricity, fire and geothermal sources; it also collects around the very subtle energy signatures of biological organisms. In this respect all biological entities, be they plant or animal maintain a marginally denser astral portion than the empty space around them or inanimate objects. These dense astral signatures which are drawn to living organic matter are most commonly referred to as spirits.
Defining the Spirit
If astral energy has the capacity to retain impressions of physical planar energy such as light, sound, temperature and movement; then theoretically it can potentially function as an extension of neurological memory found in the brain. A material preserving information is nothing new to our physical plane, as a better part of modern technology relies upon it. Advanced plastics have been designed that are able to assume one shape when hot and resume their primary shape when cooled; exhibiting that molecular memory exists. It is not a great departure to apply these principles to a form of energy.
But what does this mean? In most basic concept, it means that experiences of a biological organism may be retained on a level not immediately tied to neurological complexity. In essence, plants and even incredibly simple animals may have the ability to remember experiences through astral imprinting of the spirit. What then, defines the soul?
The Soul
There is an immediate difference between human beings and other forms of life such as insects and trees. It is not superiority so much as it is an evolutionary advantage; a much more complex and energetic biological system which involves a central nervous system and complex neural biology, the brain. Whereas the minuscule energy signature of normal cells attract astral to coalesce into a spirit, the additional energy given off by large muscle groups, the heart, nervous system and brain attract even more astral energy to condense into a highly receptive state for retention of recorded impressions or so called “astral memory”. In this respect, the soul is more advanced than the spirit; capable of restoring more impressions around the body, as well as events within the body, most importantly thoughts.
When a soul accumulates the astral memories of both events and thoughts, it achieves something more than a simple spirit as it has capacitance for storing the emotions and mannerisms that compose the mind. The soul then, is an astral backup of what a human or complex animal experiences throughout their lifetime; a sort of immaterial clone of our personality that lives in silent synchronicity with us for the duration of our lives until the time that our bodies die. When the biological energy functions of the body cease, the soul is unbound from its physical plane anchor.
Planar Hierarchy, AKA The Afterlife – Part 1
The most immediate question many will have at this point is the one of mortality; namely, what happens to the soul after the death of the physical body.
What I am about to introduce to you is a rather complex hierarchy of planes that are relative to life, death and astral interaction. If this section leaves you confused, don’t worry. Understanding death is something most people do not come to terms with over the course of a very long life.
A basic map of the astral planes:
*Kingdom *Astral *Ether Physical *Nexus *Underworld *Abyss
The planes of most immediate concern are the Ether, our Physical plane, and the Nexus. Do not concern yourself with the order they are presented in either, as there is no proper up or down; and concepts of good and bad are of course relative.
We are, at almost all points of our waking life, immediately aware of the physical plane. It is resident to the universe we understand, the laws that bind it together and the matter that composes it. Just beyond the reach of our typical perception is the Ether; this is not a true plane so much as it is a world between worlds. This is the slightly out of phase plane of existence that all astral energy attached to the physical plane inhabits. If you were able to see the Ether clearly, you would be able to perceive what people’s souls look like as well as the varying degrees of intensity of living things compared to non-living things.
The Nexus is similarly sandwiched immediately next to the physical plane, but less often perceived. In legend and myth, it has been known by many names. Limbo, life stream, purgatory; this is where spirits and souls reside in-between corporeal forms. The Nexus is labeled as such in this system because it is the conceptual core of the astral mass of the planet earth; as such, it draws in and expels astral energy in a sort of flow (see “Flow”). Spirits and souls, being composed of astral energy, are drawn to the nexus if they lack autonomy or a physical plane anchor (biological entity).
When an anchor is created in the physical world, such as a fetus forming in the womb, a spirit or soul is drawn from the nexus and attaches itself to the new anchor. New souls do form from time to time, but most often they are founded upon the spirit of a simple creature or plant that attached itself to the anchor and developed into a soul.
Karma plays a relatively small role in this mode of reincarnation. But I’m sure other questions being asked are; what of heaven and hell? How does Karma work? And what is the Nexus like? If you’re curious, keep reading.
Karma
Because astral can retain energy impressions of the physical plane, extending to thought and emotion in the case of complex astral densities defined as souls; astral is also prone to “positive” and “negative” emotions. While not specifically defined, the best categorical definition would place energetic activities and emotions into the positive category; while suppressive and entropic activities would represent the negative category. As virtual polar opposites, like kinds attract their own; this results in what we associate with karma.
In our daily lives, we are constantly drawing in and giving off astral energy in the same way our planet does (see “Flow”); to this effect we are constantly drawing in and giving off the positive and negative elements of our actions and environments. As like elements attract, so too are we inevitably drawn to people and situations with similar “karmic fields”. While time does not follow predetermination in M-theory or in this view of the universe, families with a distinct karmic field surrounding the time of a children’s gestation are more likely to attract a reincarnated spirit or soul with similar karmic harmony.
It is important to note that Karma is not a sentient force, it is an attractor and repulser ; it does not explicitly reward or punish people for their actions. For example, a person who is engaged in acts of murder and deception for money may continue to find themselves in the company of killers and thieves; but karma does not dictate that they will be punished for such actions. Likewise, karma does not direct death. The noble firefighter who dies while rushing into a building to save someone does not imply that the firefighter had done anything wrong to die, simply that the person was in the wrong place at the right time to suffer an unfortunate result.
Karma does influence our astral state however, and this is most apparent after death when the soul is within the Nexus. To the soul or spirit without physical form, the Nexus is not a recognizable place so much as it is a long period of dreaming between physical incarnations. Unlike dreams in the physical plane, the dream state of the Nexus is pure and vivid; removed from the influences of the physical mind affecting the astral dream. In this karmic relative dream, the memories of soul are propelled in directions of karmic influence; and so the noble soul may experience a personal paradise dream state while the corrupt may experience a personal torment.
Planar Hierarchy, AKA The Afterlife – Part 2
The distressing question arises; does the nexus cycle and reincarnation invalidate classical notions of Heaven and Hell?
No.
The Nexus serves as a way station for three possible destinations; reincarnation of a physical self, absorption and autonomy.
Reincarnation, as previously explained, consists of imbuing an existing soul or spirit into a new biological entity; this can be influenced by karmic harmony of the soul in question and the karmic situation of the mothering person.
Absorption is the concept of “returning to the earth”; specifically, rather than reaching autonomy or reincarnation, the spirit or soul in question slips out of the cycle and loses its density to become part of the greater density of the earth’s spirit. Ordinarily this does not occur unless the spirit does not want to be reincarnated; and enough time has passed in the nexus for the astral density to break down far enough that it rejoins with the earth spirit.
Autonomy
Autonomy, as the name implies, is when a complex astral density such as a spirit or soul achieves independent function. In addition to remnants of personality and memory of the soul, the astral form gains what we would deem consciousness. Aware of itself and surroundings, the new autonomous astral entity moves on from the Nexus and “ascends” (more properly, transcends) into the stable astral plane.
The astral plane does not immediately interact with our physical plane. While spatially relative to the physical plane in terms of geography; the actions and astral entities residing on the astral plane have no immediate effect on our plane, unlike the direct link of the ether or indirect link of the nexus. This plane of existence is much like earth, with the exception of matter. The planet as they know it is comprised entirely of astral.
There is one further astral plane. As astral entities “progress”, over time and experience, it is possible for them to attain a greater level of control over themselves as an entity as well as astral energy as a whole. In this higher level of astral entity, there is the ability to shape astral into other forms of energy and in practice, create entire virtual worlds out of will and astral. This higher level plane is accessible either by ascension of an astral entity into a higher astral entity, or the shaping of a lesser astral entity into the higher plane.
In practice, this means that astral beings of significant power could control a private domain and initiate lesser astral entities into denizens of that domain; hence the distinction of Kingdom.
The properties of the distinct astral planes coincide with several religious systems concepts of elevated states of existence, and so called ‘layers’ of heaven and hell. Moreover, if these observations are true, then it maps out a framework for the plausible existence of multiple gods and different concepts of afterlife existence.
Back to Earth – The Role of the Soul
This framework does not layout a meaning of life; as the meaning of anything is entirely in the eye of the beholder. However, it does elude to the soul and out astral intertwining having a purpose in the course of human evolution and the purpose of life.
Provided that astral exists as a form of extra-planar energy that is able to affect the physical world and the properties of astral are receptive to thoughts and memory of complex life forms, then the conclusion drawn from this is a method of interacting with the physical world through the sheer power of astral and the mechanism of Will.
The implications of such a conclusion are vast.
Not only would astral-physical interaction account for the phenomena of experiencing ghosts (spirits/souls wandering the ether), but it also provides a framework of continuity for entities reported throughout history; from angels and demons, to gods and dragons. More important to the human condition, is the architecture of explaining phenomena such as empathy, telepathy, remote viewing and other psychic activity.
Flow
Whether or not we have reached a state of awareness of our soul and its interaction in this extra planar hierarchy, we all exist in a state of duality within the physical plane of our body and mind, as well a spirit within the ether. While we may not be aware of this conduit to things beyond our body, the effects of our spirit interacting through the ether with other spirits is a natural and constant occurrence. This, in short, is flow.
Flow is a euphemism for the natural respiration like cycle that occurs in all astral entities and dense astral bodies such as spirits and souls. Dense astral bodies lose density over time due to entropy, this means that they must absorb loose astral energy and integrate it into themselves in order to maintain density. In this natural astral respiration cycle, the dense spirit or soul constantly siphons in loose astral energy from its surroundings while giving off loose astral in exchange. Naturally, this loose astral carries the impression of the spirit it recently separated from; this is what constitutes the impression of an aura around a person, soul exhaust if you will.
Flow is an important mechanic not only in the regenerative cycle of astral bodies, but also in the way that astral bodies interact. Because of flow, astral bodies can exchange feelings and sometimes even thoughts as the “surface” of an astral body dissipates through respiration and then is absorbed by a nearby astral body. Both advanced empathy, and telepathy, can be linked to this phenomenon if an individual is aware of who and what they are absorbing through the flow.
This is also particularly important in relationships where language is an ineffective communication tool, as the flow between two spirits allows innate communication through empathy. Of course, the bonds of relationship building through flow are only as effective as the receptiveness of the astral bodies to that energy. People who simply cannot get along with each other, conflicts with animals and plants that just seem to perish under a particular person’s care are all examples of a poor or conflicting flow between two entities. Yes, both plants and animals also have spirits and as such they also experience the flow of new energy in and old energy out.
Most strikingly, flow can affect interactions with inanimate objects. Even though base materials such as metal or wood have no “spirit” to speak of, they do have an astral signature relative to that of the material. When the flow of an individual and a material are in synchronicity, the individual seems more naturally adept with working the material and the material seems more yielding to the individual. This phenomenon of attunement is often found in cases where individuals seem drawn to certain materials or professions by an unspoken sense of familiarity; and is widely responsible for instances where people seem to have “the touch” in a certain area, such as mechanics, electronics, music or piloting.
The Veil
Before I get into the history of the so called veil or what it will mean when it is finally removed, I would like to discuss what it is.
The veil is, for lack of a better word, a spell. It is an artificial hurdle put in place to limit the interactions of the human soul with the astral plane. As a barrier and not a full-fledged wall, it can be overcome and it is not permanent; the implementation of the barrier was deliberately invoked by our ancestors and the astral beings of authority at the time.
This artificial limiter is designed with an explicit purpose; to dampen the natural ability of humanity to interact with astral energy and higher astral planes. The aptly titled “veil” is designed to obscure that which lies beneath, but is transparent to those who get close enough to see through it.
At the time when the human-astral potential exceeds the limiting abilities, the veil will be overcome.
A brief history of human-astral interaction
There are certain details I am not able to discuss for reasons of safety, both mine and yours. In this respect and for the brevity of an article already reaching an overwhelming length and load of information; what follows is highly summarized.
While our planet was still cooling from its creation, it had drawn in ample amounts of astral energy from our son as well as the space. The coalescence of astral within the new planet mass formed the earth’s sprit, and became the cradle for new astral densities forming in the waves of volcanic energies across the molten globe. Literally born from the first fires of the planet, echoes of eruption and heat manifested into the first spirits independent of the earth; these wisps of memory brought about in the world’s creation would develop into the first astral beings resident to this planet, and all in the time before land and ocean existed.
By the time biological life began to appear on earth, they were already old. Hierarchies and civilization developed in their own time, by their own rules. Divergences in their developmental paths resulting in varied “species”. They were aware during the age of the dinosaurs, witnessing the rise and fall of the great tyrants; growing fond of the carnage and the beauty, the strength and the frailty. Our biodiversity inspired theirs, just as they would come to inspire us in time.
By the time man rolled around, they had well tested the border between our plane and theirs; and were surprised to find that the higher mammals had begun to slip into their space through dreams. They were a curiosity to us and us to them; the barriers of speech soon overcome by the language of imagery and thought. The first ambassadors of our medicine men begot the peaceful friendship of two worlds colliding, but it would not last.
As the astral potential of man increased with his capacity for complex thought such as language, art and agriculture, so did our interaction with astral beings spread; exiting from the time we are most susceptible in sleep to our very waking world. These times were met with confusion. While the teachings of our oracles and prophets had taught us in advance of such wonders, now the everyman saw both wicked and wonderful; religion soared at the hands of true found gods.
These entities could not be killed by stone or blade, and the ways in which they worked seemed to know both timeless lore and the secrets of the heart. They were deemed ageless, immortal and all knowing. Whether or not these things were true, those that considered themselves noble took themselves to be the shepherds of man. Kings were displaced; men who craved power and blood recruited the hand of the fearful and ignorant. They found ways to hurt the visitors; ways to make them suffer, and so too did our new neighbors discover the means to bleed men.
It was in the childish acts of the irresponsible from both sides that those in authority responded with disappointment. The designs of destiny would have to wait; man was simply unprepared to handle such power, and they conceded their own were unready for the free whims of mankind. Our most proficient enacted a barrier, to deafen and blind the everyman from the ways of astral significance; while their hierarchy conceded to new systems of order and a “truce” of sorts.
It was decided on that day, that no beast nor blessed being would harm nor help in the affairs of man until they would see the truth for themselves. And to defend this pact, there would be stationed those who watch and those who defend; while this would not be an all seeing eye nor an all saving hand, these beings would prevent where able and prosecute where late. The exception to this pact is in the natural dwelling of the spirit; through dreams they might guide us and misdirect us, pulling the strings of influence where little they can.
The End
So what occurs when the veil falls? It is said, through a dozen dreamers, that we will experience an awakening. It is called enlightenment, a golden dawn, a new age, the time when we will realize the truth and oneness with all things. This rumored time of change and awakening is strikingly similar to what would happen if the veil suddenly collapsed.
Surly this is cause for celebration; reunited with the truth, open to our true potential, connected to a source of history and wealth of knowledge that would change the foundations of science and religion.
Ah… that is the problem. Because we have forgotten this part of our history, we are unprepared for it. When we look at the state of the world, one recognizes that this awakening is not an act of global understanding; if this is to occur within a few short years, then it will not be at the whim and want of a human kind. We stride unprepared into nirvana, and are helpless to a profound change.
… That is all I can tell you.
There is great benefit in the refinement of your abilities, if you can discover and refine them. But time is short, and while fragments of the truth are many; so too are false teachers, those blessed and burdened with the message but lacking the full capacity to guide.
I am no teacher myself. I am a storyteller, given the knowledge only so that it might be recorded and passed on to those who need it now; and those who will wonder in the years afterward what became of man.
